GOJIRA

Thursday night last week, instead of reading a book in bed with a cup of tea in one hand and petting my dog with the other, I found myself out and about with my cousins. Which is very rare for us to hang out on weekdays! But on this particular Thursday, two of my cousins that lives in another city was in town, so we decided to meet up in this neighborhood called Pantai Indah Kapuk. Filled to the brim with restaurants, cafés and other cool shiz, I tell you!

Leaving the old people (aka the parents) behind to have a more thorough chinwag in Ying Thai, the young peeps and I headed out to a Japanese ice cream bar right next door called Gojira, which literally means Godzilla in English. This was my first time there and we were all pretty impressed by how good everything that we ordered tasted. Two of my cousins shared the Crêpes Suzette with banana and chocolate sprinkled on top and whipped cream inside. Another cousin of mine ordered the Chocolate Larva, which is literally three layers of chocolate stacked on top of each other. Not a big fan of chocolate (shocker!), so I stayed far away from that.

Because I'm annoying and am not fond of trying new stuff out, especially when it comes to food, I didn't try anything that my cousin ordered, sigh. What I ordered though was a pretty phenomenal one. I ordered the Blueberry Ice Cream, and I don't know about you, but I've never heard of any ice cream shops to have this flavor in tow! I didn't want to get my hopes up, in fear that it might've tasted horrible, but I was so wrong. It tasted great, and I really wish I had a cup of it with me now. The taste is quite milky, but not in a way that's nauseating. Also there are a few blueberry powder sprinkled on top of the ice cream and also some blueberry jam too! I overloaded from all the blueberries, but that's alright!

We stayed there for a while, not only because the place was so comfy and peaceful, but also because the parents took so long in the restaurant next door. I had so much fun! We talked about our future (which was quite a dreary topic), did a bit of accent challenge (I SUCKED) and we just hung out, really. How cute is the ice cream bar though?! Sucked that I didn't get a picture of the giant Godzilla on the wall, but you can see the back of it just a teeny tiny bit!

I hope you're all having a great start to the week! Happy Monday, lovely people. x
