All About the Lips9:42 PM
A slight different post for today! Hope you're okay with that. I thought I'd share to you guys two of my favorite lippies for the past month and an additional two lip product that I wear every single night before I go to bed.
I'm not the type of girl who would wear lipsticks on a daily basis. Especially not on those days when I stay cooped up inside my house all day. I have dry lips, so instead of neglecting it and licking my lips all day to bring some sort of moisture on it, I stick to these two products on a daily basis to tone down the thirst of my lips.
I seriously love the Aēsop Rosehip Seed Lip Cream. The scent is floral and I usually don't fancy anything floral on my lips or my body, but for this one I made an exception. With that in mind, you'd think the word cream would be greasy and sticky on the lips? Not this one. It glides on the lips so smoothly and brings out my natural lip color beautifully.
The next product was a love at first sight sorta thing. It's the Clinique Superbalm Moisturizing Gloss in 'Black Honey'. I usually put this on its own, or wear it after I apply the Aēsop lipcream to make the lips more hydrated. Aside from that, I usually also wear it on its own on days when I don't want vibrant colors on my lips. When you pump it out of the tube, it comes out dark brown on the lips, but don't be afraid by that, it blends into the lips so well. I'm gonna be honest though, this product is more hydrating than the Aēsop lipcream.
I have quite a lot of lipstick/lipgloss in my stash, so I thought I'd narrow it down to two lip products that I'm totally in love with at the moment.
First up is the Tanya Burr lipgloss in 'Just Peachy'. I bought it from Feel Unique, and correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Tanya's beauty products are only available there and in Superdrug. Because I live in Asia, instead of hassling around (because not all brands ship to Indonesia) about the shipment, I shipped it to my sister instead who's currently in the US for Uni. So she brought it over when she was home for Christmas and I was ecstatic when I got my hands on it. First of all, the shade is a gorgeous pink that isn't too 'in your face' and the most important thing is I can wear it on a day to day basis. And the scent! It's melon scented, so it isn't nauseating like any other lip glosses out there. Vanilla scented lipstick/lipgloss isn't my fav, to be honest.
Up next, the Revlon Matte Balm in 'Sultry'. I love dark lips and this caught my eye instantly when I saw Amelia Liana wearing it in one of her vlogs. Many people wear burgundy lipstick like this one during the autumn/winter season. Me? I wear it all year round. Plus, wearing a dark lipsticks makes me feel like Supergirl or something. I could take on the world and shiz like that. The product itself is beautiful. It glides on the lips so easily and I friggin' love that. As for the scent? It's mint so it isn't my favorite but it doesn't bother me too much so all is well, people!
What are your favorite lip staples these days?
Much love, Ashley xx
