Basking in the Sun

...in London. Which is pretty weird as 80% of the time the sky is grey and gloomy there. So I guess I was lucky enough to experience the UK sun, even if it was just for a day or so!

By now, you're probably thinking, "How many shots of Big Ben can this girl take?!". This is the answer, plenty of em'! Sorry for the picture overload of Big Ben's in this post, but, as a girl who doesn't live in London and goes there very scarcely, a glimpse of Ben on every visit is always a special one. He's such a handsome lad isn't he?

A Sunday that I'll never forget. It was a bright sunny day (ended in me as a red nosed reindeer at the end of the day) and we got to see a lot of beautiful London streets and landmarks while walking along the way. There's nothing better than walking in London on a sunny Sunday, ey?

We came across the Horse Guards Parade which is located right across from Buckingham Palace. It looked so cool that I took about twenty pictures of the same thing. Can't get enough of the view, especially the glimpse of London Eye that you could see on the top. There were field trips going around on that day (pretty weird as it was a Sunday), but all around it wasn't too hectic as it was before noon!

We got to see Downing Street up close, ya know, when David Cameron was still the PM of the UK. And we got to see lots of journalists and TV reporters as David was about to give a speech on Brexit. We had no time to wait for that, so we hustled along and found ourselves beneath Big Ben. It was a spectacular one and a half hour walk from our hotel (we had a lot of stops as there were too many gorgeous streets along the way, we weren't slow!) in Piccadilly Circus. Got to eat lunch with a view of Big Ben as well. One of my favorite days whilst I was there.

After that we spent quite sometime in Selfridges and strolled around Oxford Street. It was quite hectic, so we headed out to our hotel quite early!

Which shot of Big Ben do you like the most? Also, happy Monday! ❤︎

Much love, Ashley xx
