Colourpop

For the past few months, I've heard sooo many Youtubers and bloggers rave about Colourpop. So one morning when I was jetlagged in LA, I found myself searching through their website and adding loads of lip colors to my cart. Downsized it to four in the end, because my lip collection is growing rapidly at the moment. Very dangerous.

In terms of formula, all the lip products I bought didn't disappoint me. Each one of them glides on the lips very easily, but I do have to say that two of the lip products I bought, I think is far too dark for me, but hey, we'll work it out in the end!

Without further ado, let's get on with the post, shall we? :D

Lippie Stix in Button: Just at how bloody gorgeous that shade is! The swatch is a little bit orange, but I do find it a little bit pink-ish when I apply it on my lips which is a plus for me as I don't really like orange lips. I haven't really worn this out properly, but I think that you do have to reapply it a couple of times if you plan on wearing it the whole day.

RATING: ❤︎❤︎❤︎.5 / 5.

Lippie Stix in Lumière: This lipstick is a collaboration by Kathleen Lights and Colourpop. This was the reason why I bought these lipsticks at the first place as the color looked so good on her. The formula is great, unfortunately the color doesn't suit me well. On the swatch it looks like a deep berry-ish mauve color, but on me it looks as if I'm wearing a black lipstick, which then turns into a purple-ish color a couple minutes after applying. The good thing about it is that it doesn't budge at all. You drink, you eat, it'll stay all day long. We'll work something out to make me love this lipstick!

RATING: ❤︎❤︎❤︎ / 5.

Ultra Matte Lip in Clueless: Again, this color's waaay too dark for me. I think it'll work out for fall and winter, but not for summer. This is the type of lipstick that you have to wear a lipliner with, because otherwise you'll look like have smeared chocolate all over your mouth (well at least it I look like I have chocolate all over my mouth). But, I do love that the matte formula isn't as drying as other brands!

RATING: ❤︎❤︎.5 / 5

Lippie Pencil in Aquarius: This I love. Glides on the lips so seamlessly and the color is beyond gorgeous. I love to wear this before I apply on my Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolour in  Seduction. Great combo! I can't get enough on how soft this is on the lips, seriously. ❥

RATING: ❤︎❤︎❤︎❤︎ / 5.

Overall, my first try on Colourpop was a bit of a flop because I didn't like most of the colors on me. But I don't regret purchasing it at all because the price range for the formula is worth it. Do tell me what your favorite Colourpop colors are! I would love to know. :)

Much love, Ashley xx

    1. She's the funniest person alive! I wish I liked it better, but I think the shade works better on people who has a darker skin color. If I was tanner, it'd look great!

  7. The lippie pencil in Aquarius looks lovely. I don't think they sell them in Australia so I'll have to keep them in mind on my travels, especially since they are so reasonably priced :)
