Mug Shots3:00 PM
I'm obsessed with tea. And with tea, comes mugs. I've accumulated quite a few mugs over the past few years and I thought I'd share it with you guys, because well, they're one of the things I love most in the world. I think that I have loads more that I keep in my cupboard, but I ran it down to five cause I don't want this post to be time consuming for you guys!
Btw, please tell me that you understand the title perfectly! If you don't, well, let me explain it to you. Shots can also means photographs, and in this case, I've shot pictures of mugs, therefore: mug shots! HA! I was so proud that I came up with this title at 3 AM in the morning. :P
Tea Time with an...Axe?
First up is my ultimate favorite mug that I bought from Tower of London. It is quite hefty, and I was reluctant whether I should purchase it or not in fear that it might break when I'm on the plane, but fear not, it survived in one piece and has been used hundreds of times now! It was love at first sight, basically. And with the size being quite big, I can put in more tea than usual and that equals to a happy Ashley.
Hopping on a Red Bus
My second favorite and probably the oldest mug that I own in my collection is a London Red Bus (just three years, but that's a long time in mug life, people!). If I'm not mistaken, I purchased this when I was in London for the first time or a department store here in Jakarta. I don't remember, but as cliché it is to own a red bus mug, I have no regrets. This mug is well loved and a bit battered on the inside because I've drank out of it a lot of times over the past few years. Just how cute is it, really?!
This was a spur of the moment purchase. I like Minions, but I don't love them with a passion that requires me to buy every single minion item available in the world. So anyways, I was at Universal Studios, hopping off the Minion's ride and I just knew I needed a minion mug in my life. If I'm not mistaken, it took me about half an hour to an hour to decide which mug I should buy and I ended up with this one. Perfect for times where you feel like drinking tea, but not so much of it that you'll be in a tea coma.
Christmas in London
I know what you're thinking, "Really Ashley? A Christmas mug?!". I know it's March and Easter is around the corner, but I just had to include this in this blogpost. Again, this was a spur of the moment purchase because I bought whilst I was in the airport in KL. How gorgeous is it though? I love London so it's no surprise that I bought the one with London in the mug. Nothing better than Christmas and London in one mug!
Early Morning with Mr. Grumpy
Last but not least, a very appropriate mug for mornings when you just slept for three hours. I don't know about you, but I'm definitely not a morning person. I get super duper grumpy and snap at everyone who tries to talk to me (lol) and well, let's just say mornings and Ashley don't mix well together. And what better way than drinking tea out of a mug with Mr. Grumpy on it? What a match made in heaven, really! What I loved most about this mug is on the other side of the mug, there's a "I HATE Mornings!" plastered on it. Very fitting for unwanted early mornings (ehe).
So there it is! All my favorite mugs. I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it. I don't know what it is with me, but I came up with the idea of writing this post at 3 AM after hours and hours of thinking about Sherlock's Special episode "The Abominable Bride". It seems that I get motivated at the middle of the night, ha!
Hope you're all having a lovely Monday and I hope you have a great week ahead of you!
Much love, Ashley xx
