Bardot Top & Culottes

Off-the shoulder tops or as I call it, the Bardot top, are all the rage this season. The first time I wore an off-the shoulder top, I was a little girl (my mom styled my sister and I when we were little, and I must say, her style was great). As I went through puberty, I avoided anything that showed off my skin because I felt so uncomfortable in them.

Last year, I purchased this top from Miss Selfridge. Even though I had no plan on wearing it that often, I knew it would be a statement piece that I'll be wearing in the upcoming years or so. And boy am I glad that I bought it! The off-the shoulder trend has came back and now I'm free to wear it without any quizzical eyes following me when I step out of the house. Although where I live, people would probably stare, which I find sooo annoying. This isn't my usual style, but what the heck, right?! It's a lil' bit edgy (thanks to the choker I'm wearing), and I love it. Wear whatever you want, the most important thing is if you feel comfortable wearing it and also feel like a badass while you're at it. :)

Because the top is cropped, I paired it with these culottes from Bershka. They had it in a black color, and I'm so gutted that I didn't purchase it in that color one too. The wear of it is comfortable, one thing I don't like about it is how tight it is around the crotch area. Maybe because I bought the wrong size? So yeah, it gives you a bit of a camel toe action (maybe just me though...). Currently thinking of how to conceal the camel toe action. Maybe with a pair of jacket? I don't know. Advice on this is much appreciated.
