Dîner at Tart

One thing I love doing when I'm in LA (other than shopping and spending time with my piggies) is... eating, of course. And LA does a great job on the culinary experience! My sister found this gem of a place over a year ago and brought me along with her last summer. This time we brought along our parents with us and the company was a great un'! The more the merrier.

Tart is an American comfort food restaurant located right across from The Grove. They tend to get super busy during brunch time! So if you're ever in the LA area, go have brunch at this restaurant and shop til' you drop afterwards! Very convenient indeed. A cute little boutique hotel called the Farmer's Daughter is located right next to Tart which I think is very convenient as well if it's your first time in sunny LA. But, my sister and I would love to stay there one day! So, not just for tourists, but for locals too. All I can say about this place is how gorgeous the decor is. Downright beautiful, but still comfy and homey at the same time.

Chicken & Waffle
Crispy Chicken Legs
Sweet Potato Waffle Fries

Let's talk about le food..

The food was scrumptious. My sister and I ordered the Chicken & Waffle, and boy was it sweet in all the right places. When the food came and I saw how small the portion was, all I could think of was how hungry I was going to be later that night. But I was so wrong. I was so dang full when the night ended and it was a good feeling too, because I've been craving for their C & W for over a year now. So if you're planning to go here, don't gawk at how small the portion is because trust me, it's gonna keep your tummy happy by the end of the meal.

As for what my parents ordered, they decided to go for the Crispy Chicken Legs and a cheeky lil' Sweet Waffle Potato Fries, because why not ey? The Chicken Legs I can't say much about because I only ate a teeny tiny bit of it. For the Waffle Fries, I do highly recommend you guys give it a go if you're ever in Tart because the whole thing is just so unique. It's drizzled in honey glazed bacon (!!!) and sprinkled with roasted peanuts all around (which I avoided because I'm allergic to peanuts). I mean, the description itself sounds orgasmic. Ya know food's good when the little description by the menu got you droolin'. :P

All in all, the food experience I had whilst I was in Tart was amazing. Would definitely go back again as the food was super delicious and the service was pretty good too! Also, Tart has opened up a new branch down in DTLA called Little Tart! Might give it a go the next time I'm here.

Much love, Ashley xx
