221B Baker Street

Twice I went to London and I had no interest at all visiting the Sherlock Holmes museum. Why, you ask? Perhaps it was because I wasn't following everyone else as they rave on and on about Sherlock. But early this year, I started watching it with my dad on Netflix and well, I became obsessed it. With Benedict Cumberbatch as well um because he's amazing. And ya know what they say, third time's a charm right?!

Just a note to you guys; go and visit the museum before 12 PM strikes because when it strikes, you'll have to wait quite a while in the queue. Lucky for us, we didn't have to wait that long as the weather that day was rather chilly. I don't wanna spoil too much of the museum, but here are some of the photographs I took that I had to share with you guys!

My dad, Sherlock's biggest fan. He also calls Benedict Cumberbatch, Cumbersome. Lol.

Getting up the stairs and entering Sherlock's living room was, magical. I felt as if I was thrown back in time to the 1800's (not opposed to that at all) and also to the series as well. Every single bits and bobs that was scattered all over the living room resembled Sherlock as a person. Couldn't help squealing inside as I was there. Also, how cute is it that props are provided on a table so you could be Sherlock and Watson?!

And this is his bedroom. Now in the BBC series, his room was never shown so I don't really know what it's supposed to look like but I was pretty shocked at how small and cramped the room was! Then again, that's one of the things you have to live through in the 1800's right?

Now this, I find really, really cool. On the top floor, there are two rooms filled to the brim (not really) with Sherlock's cases. There were a few characters in the room and an explanation of what case this act was from. Not gonna lie, I was pretty freaked out when I first entered the room because they looked so real!

From the room filled with characters from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's books, there's a narrow staircase leading up to the restroom. I kept on questing my sister and parents on how far he has to go when he really really needs the loo. It was as you can see, very vintage looking and I do have to say that I felt quite claustrophobic whilst I was there. Kudos to the people who designed the house though, I really felt as if I was flying back in time to the Victorian era.

If you're ever in London, you must visit this museum. It'll only take half an hour and if you're not so much big fan of Sherlock, that's fine. Just appreciate the beautiful intricate thing that is Sherlock's home.

Admission: £15 for Adults, £10 anyone under 16yrs old.

Address (stating the obvious):
